BOOKING

Bookings can be placed online.

Booking and initial payment are considered to establish a contract between guests detailed in the booking and Natures Hideaway.

​

Checking  in is from 4pm  - 7pm

Checking out by 10am

CANCELLATION

Please phone immediately if you need to cancel.

​

If cancellation is more than 6 weeks prior to your stay, you will forfeit the deposit only.

​

Cancellations within 4 weeks will incur the full cost of the holiday. We therefore advise you to take out cancellation insurance.

​

We will always do our best to resell your holiday for you, under which circumstances there will be no charge incurred.

​

DISABLED ACCESS

Unfortunately the uneven woodland environment is not suitable for wheelchair users or those with limited mobility.  There is a 100m walk up through the woods along a winding woodland path.

SMOKING

Natures Hideaway operates a no smoking policy in the Shepherd hut and within the grounds.

CARE OF SITE

Guests are legally obliged to take all reasonable and proper care of the accommodation including, buildings, fixtures, fittings, furniture, pictures and other effects in or around the the Shepherds hut and shall leave them in the same state of repair and condition at the end of the rental period as found at the beginning.

In the event of any damage by the guest to the Shepherd Hut or equipment during the stay, please let the owner know immediately so the item can be replaced.

 

Guests agree to leave the property in a clean and tidy condition.

 

Guests agree to respect the surroundings and not to disturb neighbouring properties.

​

Sound travels a long way in the valley. Please give due consideration to other visitors and neighbours.  Please keep noise to a minimum particularly in the evenings.

​

Suncream, fake tan, waterproof makeup and hair dye can all cause permanent damage to bedding, linen and towels. We politely ask that guests take care when using these products and recommend that guests planning to use such products during their stay bring their own spare linen to prevent damage to items at Natures Hideaway. If damage / staining does occur and the items cannot be cleaned Natures Hideaway reserves the right to charge to replace these items.

Natures Hideaway reserve the right to charge for excessive cleaning where the Shepherd's Hut has been left in an unacceptable condition, including but not limited to, waste, litter, damage to the structure, movement of furniture and contents etc.

​

Guests will be held responsible for any fire, damage or alterations to the Shepherds Hut or other parts of the site caused by negligence.

FIRE

Guests agree that no fires shall be lit other than in the wood-burning stove – which, other than for lighting will be used with the door securely closed.

 

Please do not move the BBQ which has been placed in a safe position to prevent the fire spreading.

​

Guest need to supply their own charcoal.

​

For your own safety - no candles inside the shepherd hut please.

​

Only logs provided by Natures Hideaway shall be used as fuel. An initial supply of wood will be provided, additional logs can be purchased at cost as needed. Guests are politely asked to refrain from gathering wood or wild flowers on the site.

LOST PROPERTY

It is your responsibility to check you have removed all your personal belongings from the Shepherd hut.  All lost property will be kept until the end of year and then will be given to charity.

PETS

One well behaved dog or two small ones.
