The Old Rose shepherd hut retreat is handcrafted with meticulous attention to detail, offering a unique blend of rustic charm and modern luxury.
Situated in an elevated position overlooking the Blackdown Hills, simply sit back, relax and hopefully get to experience one of the stunning sunsets and soak up all the sounds and sights of nature around you, whether it be the bird song, woodpeckers, owls or just the deer grazing nearby.
Enjoy a glass of wine (or two) whilst stargazing in the bubbling hot tub, then relax for the rest of the evening in front of the cosy wood burner. Equipped with all the amenities you need for a comfortable stay, including:

Jacuzzi hot tub which doubles up as a plunge pool in Summer.
Wood-Burning Stove: Stay warm and cosy with the charm of a hobbit wood-burning stove, perfect to snuggle up to in the cooler evenings.
Well Equipped Kitchenette including: a breakfast hob, microwave, fridge with ice-box, electric kettle, toaster and all necessary cookware.
The very comfortable pocket sprung king-size bed is accessible from both sides for extra convenience.
Plush Bedding: Enjoy a restful night's sleep on our high-quality mattresses and luxurious linens.
Bistro table and chairs.
En-suite Bathroom with a hot shower, flushing toilet and eco-friendly toiletries.
Bath robes, slippers, fluffy towels and additional towels for the hot tub supplied.

Outdoor Seating Area: Relax and take in the stunning views from your private outdoor seating area, complete with comfortable furniture and a charcoal BBQ.
Torches provided -- only moon or star light in the Blackdown Hills!
Walking distance to the little village of Churchinford with it's well stocked community shop and dog friendly pub serving delicious home cooked food.
Only logs provided by Natures Hideaway shall be used as fuel. An initial supply of wood will be provided, additional logs can be purchased at cost as needed. Guests are politely asked to refrain from gathering wood or wild flowers on the site.
Disabled access. Unfortunately the uneven and hilly woodland environment is unsuitable for wheelchair users and those with limited mobility.
There is a 150 metre walk up through the woods along bluebell walk.
Pets: One well behaved dog or two small dogs on a lead.
No smoking allowed in the shepherd hut
Minimum booking of 2 Nights
Price per night is £165
Checking in is from 4pm - 7pm
Checking out by 11am
NOTE: In winter if adverse conditions the hot tub may not be available. In these circumstances guests may wish to defer their booking. If possible guests will be notified in advance.

A FEW THINGS TO BRING WITH YOU
Wellies and/or outdoor boots. Suitable outdoor clothes.
NB. Holdalls are easier to pack away in the shepherd hut's under bed storage than suitcases.
